In Canada, chatgpt.com charges CA$11 a month for ChatGPT Go and CA$25 for Plus. Claude Pro is CA$28 a month or CA$280 a year, and Google AI Pro is CA$26.99 a month, all before sales tax. The App Store is close for these everyday plans but dearer for the top tier: ChatGPT Pro 500 costs CA$759.99 on iPhone against CA$680 on the web.

OpenAI bills chatgpt.com subscriptions in CAD for customers in Canada. Apple and Google Play bill app subscriptions in local currency themselves. An existing subscription keeps its billing currency; to switch, OpenAI says to cancel and subscribe again after the current period ends. Source: OpenAI multi-currency billing.
Go is the entry plan; OpenAI’s pricing page says it may include ads. Pro is billed monthly only. New Pro 200 subscriptions are open again, but subscribers who do not qualify for OpenAI’s grandfathering get a lower usage allowance than Pro 200 used to include. Paying yearly in the App Store works out to CA$25.00 a month. That saves CA$36.01 (11%) against 12 monthly payments of CA$28.00. On the web, the yearly price is CA$280, which saves CA$56 a year against paying monthly.
The Claude app also sells usage-credit packs for extra usage beyond a plan’s limits, in sizes labelled 20, 50 and 250 and priced from CA$25.00 to CA$249.00 in the App Store.
Anthropic says Pro is US$20 a month in the US, with pricing in local currency where supported. It also says monthly pricing varies by region, and some regions include tax in the displayed price while others add it at checkout. Source: What is the Pro plan?
Gemini prices in Canada (Google AI plans)
The Gemini app is free to use. Paid Gemini access comes through Google AI plans, which are Google One subscriptions that also include cloud storage.

Storage-only Google One plans without the AI features start at CA$2.79 a month (100 GB) in the App Store. Google’s web plans page shows Google AI Plus with 2 TB at CA$13.99 a month and a 100 GB storage-only plan at CA$2.79.
Web or App Store: which is cheaper in Canada?
Both columns are before tax. Buy through the channel you will manage the subscription in: an App Store subscription is cancelled and refunded through Apple, not the provider (OpenAI).

Are ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini available in Canada?
Yes. On October 19, 2026, Canada was on each provider’s list of supported locations: ChatGPT supported countries, Anthropic supported countries (Claude apps and API) and Gemini web app availability. Individual features can still arrive later in some countries, so check a feature’s own help page before you pay for it.
Tax and payment in Canada
- Canadian prices are shown before tax. Apple says the US and Canada are the two storefronts where advertised prices do not include tax (Apple), and Claude’s pricing page says its prices exclude applicable tax (Anthropic).
- Foreign sellers of digital services must charge GST/HST based on where the customer usually lives, so the rate added at checkout depends on your province (CRA).
How we checked these prices
We captured the Canadian App Store pages for ChatGPT, Claude and Google Gemini at 21:31 UTC on October 19, 2026 and kept a copy of each page with its SHA-256 hash. The prices come from Apple’s in-app purchase list, which shows an app’s most popular purchases rather than every plan. We left out purchases that Apple lists twice under the same name without showing the billing term: a second ChatGPT Plus entry at CA$249.00 (the same price as Pro 200) and a second Google AI Plus (200GB) entry at CA$69.99. Canadian web prices were read from the public pricing pages from a Canadian connection on the same day; Pro 100, Pro 200 and Pro 500 were also read from a signed-in plan picker. US prices come from Kingy’s AI Plans & Limits reference, checked the same day.
