Kingy Local AI now includes a tested PDF workflow for the 16 GiB M4 Mac mini, with a setup planner, installation guide and downloadable report.
Across three repetitions of 40 synthetic questions, the recorded configuration supported all 30 answerable tasks and declined ten absent requests per run. Median answer time was 8.70 seconds; p95 was 18.45 seconds, excluding PDF import and startup.
In the separate M4 Pro comparison, Kingy supplied supporting passages on two cross-page questions where native LM Studio gave correct values but insufficient cited support. LM Studio was more concise on five reviewed tasks. No overall winner is established.
The M4 mini result reproduces a public bank under the same operator; it is not a fresh comparison or independent external validation. Coverage remains limited to the recorded configuration and English PDFs with selectable text, up to 30 pages.
