Symptom

Exact environment and tested conditions
Original spacecraft_v001.blend with Kingy_spacecraft active and the default Scene still present.
The 14 spacecraft mesh objects are selected; the studio floor is excluded.
glTF export uses Selected Objects with Active Scene disabled.
Correction
Keep Selected Objects enabled and enable Active Scene under the glTF exporter Include settings. In Python, use use_selection=True together with use_active_scene=True.

With only Active Scene changed, the export contained one scene and 14 meshes. A fresh reimport measured 4,936 triangles and four materials. The original .blend hash was unchanged.
What did not work
A fresh export with Selected Objects enabled but Active Scene disabled contained two scenes and 15 meshes, including Cube.
- Open the original spacecraft_v001.blend and select Kingy_spacecraft as the active scene.
- Select the spacecraft meshes and exclude Studio floor, the camera and lights. The retained starter has 14 craft meshes.
- Choose File > Export > glTF 2.0 and GLB format. Under Include, enable Selected Objects and Active Scene. Export to a new filename.
- For a script export, add use_active_scene=True to the existing bpy.ops.export_scene.gltf call while retaining use_selection=True. Test a separate output before changing a working script.
- Import the new GLB into an empty Blender file. For this exact starter, verify one exported scene and 14 imported mesh objects, with no object named Cube.
- Fallback: if selection or scene ownership is unclear, keep the original .blend and GLB, inspect the Outliner and test an isolated copy of the intended scene before exporting again. Do not delete an unfamiliar scene from the only working file.

Tested with the original Kingy spacecraft starter and Blender 5.2.1 LTS. Other files may contain intentional scenes that should be retained.
Some viewers use only the default glTF scene; the extra Cube may appear only in applications that import every scene. This is an export-content mismatch, with no exporter exception.
The original downloadable starter package remains unchanged. This test creates a separate corrected GLB; it does not replace or certify a game-engine asset.
