Evidence policy

Source rules

A rate is only as useful as the exact endpoint, terms, date and evidence attached to it.

Preferred evidence

KAPI prioritizes first-party pricing documentation, API documentation, official rate cards and dated provider change notices. A marketing page can support a claim only when it clearly identifies the exact endpoint and commercial terms being measured.

What every accepted observation retains

  • official source URL and source owner;
  • exact endpoint or model identifier;
  • retrieval time and, where stated, effective time;
  • currency, billing unit, region and access tier;
  • the relevant source excerpt or normalized fields;
  • a checksum or equivalent integrity record;
  • reviewer and independent verification state.

What does not qualify by itself

Search snippets, third-party calculators, affiliate tables, screenshots without provenance, social posts, negotiated quotes and undated summaries cannot independently qualify a KAPI price. They may be used to find or challenge primary evidence.

Conflicting sources

When two official surfaces disagree, KAPI withholds the value until the endpoint, effective date and scope can be reconciled. The conflict and resolution should be recorded rather than silently choosing the lower rate.

Current preview deficit

The sealed v1 public file does not expose source URLs, observation timestamps or accepted numeric observations. That is why it is treated as a preview archive and why the headline remains withheld.
