Check the exported asset in the application where you plan to use it. A convincing Studio preview gives you a candidate to inspect. Keep a short acceptance record covering reference permissions, geometry, textures, animation and the target import before calling it ready for delivery.
Work through these checks in order
- Set the target and confirm reference permissions. Write down the intended renderer, engine, animation workflow or print process, plus the asset’s role and constraints. Check your right to use the input image and the provider’s terms for the plan and intended use. A commercial-use label on a pricing page does not settle every client or reference-rights question.
- Inspect the mesh and textures. Look beyond the thumbnail: check hidden surfaces, silhouette, small parts, topology, texture seams and the detail that matters for the target. Tripo describes Smart Mesh as focused on topology and HD models as focused on visual detail. Treat those descriptions as a starting point for inspection; test your own output against the project’s limits.
- Check the rig on the final mesh. Keep the final mesh and rig versions together. After a geometry change, check the resulting skeleton, skinning and required movements again. For an API workflow, Tripo’s current V3 Auto Rig documentation directs you to run rig-check before rigging to verify compatibility. This documents an API check; it does not establish that the recording’s Studio “1.0” selector uses the same model version, or that your exported rig passes a production test.
- Test a real export and import. Choose a format appropriate to the target. Open the exported file there and check scale, materials, required geometry and any rig or animation. For a moving character, inspect the deformations you need; for printing, inspect the file in the intended slicer. Keep the file, settings and result. A listed export format or an animation inside Studio does not establish this downstream result.
- Budget the attempts and confirm the billing surface. Check the chosen feature’s credit cost, likely retries, plan limits and final checkout total. Studio subscription observations and API rates are separate. The public USD annual Studio display checked on 3 October 2026 showed Pro at $20 per month with $240 billed annually, and Max at $90 per month with $1,080 billed annually. Those are dated annual commitments, not a verified month-to-month invoice or price per successful asset. The retained price observation is due by 10 October at 06:36 UTC; consult the provider before budgeting after that deadline.
- Save an acceptance record. Record the input, selected model/settings, generated asset ID, file version, target application, checks passed, remaining defects and actual charge if available. Keep a failed export or import as a failed result rather than counting the preview as a successful deliverable.
What the Tripo example establishes
The Kingy Tripo companion covers recorded Smart Mesh inspection, an HD dropdown labeled V3.1, editing previews and human-character rigging and animation in Studio. The owner also calls the HD product H3.1. The retained Smart Mesh frame shows a Triangle setting and 5,000 polygons; it does not establish a benchmark for today’s P2.0 quad output. The recording’s generation date remains unknown.
The evidence does not independently validate exported files, engine imports, print results, repeatability across many assets or production deformation. The video was sponsored; its exact supplied disclosure remains in the companion. The recorded TRIPOCREW discount and extra-credit terms remain unverified. This answer adds a suggested acceptance checklist, not a new generation or downstream test.

- Smart Mesh and HD model: the vendor’s topology and visual-detail distinction, not an independently measured result.
