Standing Answer

How should I plan an AI campaign and its generation budget?

Approve the reference and still images before paying to animate them. Choose frames with a clear motion idea, then budget every paid attempt—including rejected images and clips regenerated at a longer duration. A finished twenty-second edit can contain more than twenty seconds of paid generation.

A budget you can check before approving a run

  1. Define the deliverables. List the stills, selected video scenes, output resolution and required durations.
  2. Approve the visual reference. Check the subject, product, composition and intended use. Treat suggested review criteria as your checklist, rather than a measured score from the example.
  3. Review the stills. Replace weak frames before animation. Keep earlier paid attempts in the budget.
  4. Confirm the model and billing scope. Match the actual endpoint, resolution and promotion. A provider’s API rate can differ from an Agent account’s effective billing.
  5. Approve revisions separately. Ask for the added generation cost and what will remain fixed before increasing duration or trying another take.
  6. Reconcile the final account charge. Keep the approved estimate, recorded run breakdown and settled invoice as separate records.

Why the example has three different totals

The fal Agent campaign recording shows six images and thirty generated video seconds: two five-second clips, followed by two ten-second revisions. Its $3.30 estimate uses $0.15 per image and a $0.08 video rate described on screen as a promotion ending September 30.

Official endpoint pages checked on October 2 Pacific time listed $0.15 per standard Nano Banana Pro image and $0.096 per second for H3 Max image-to-video at 1080p under a different promotion ending October 15. Those values give a $3.78 scenario for the same quantities. The listed later video rate of $0.16 gives $5.70. None of these totals establishes the project’s settled invoice. Search, 4K images, audio, tax, credits and Agent-specific billing can change the amount.

Use the current checked preset

The calculator below uses only its separately reviewed endpoint-rate preset. It withholds a result when that evidence expires or the provider’s pricing scope changes. For a different model or account plan, check the official rate and your approved run estimate instead of reusing this preset.

Scope and sources

The recording demonstrates review and revision steps; it does not establish a universally cheapest model, repeatability across many projects or comparative quality. Its paid-promotion label is visible. Contract terms and affiliate commissions remain unverified. This answer adds no new hands-on generation test.
