What Oreate AI is—and what it is not
Oreate is a browser-based academic writing assistant. Its public introduction presents research, writing and supporting academic tasks as parts of one workflow. It is not a scholarly database, a peer reviewer or a substitute for opening the cited paper and checking the relevant passage.
That distinction should shape how students use it. A good workflow is to treat Oreate as a research lead generator and drafting surface. A bad workflow is to export a finished-looking essay, assume its citations are valid and submit it untouched.

Pricing and credits: the assignment cost is still unknown
Oreate’s Japanese statutory sales disclosure displayed these prices when checked on August 28, 2026:

Those numbers can change, and the checkout is the controlling price. Oreate’s credit rules say daily credits expire at the end of their weekly cycle, Pro credits expire after 31 days, and add-on credits remain available only while a subscription is active; bonus credits do not expire. The terms reserve the ability to change word charges or usage restrictions.
The missing evidence is per-feature burn. The public rules say credits are deducted when a feature is used, but they do not publish enough task-level charges to turn 1,500 or 2,000 credits into a dependable number of researched essays. Until an account-level test records the opening balance, every action and the closing balance, “how much does one essay cost?” remains unanswered.
The credit-burn test Kingy still needs to run
Use one 1,500-word assignment with five required scholarly sources. Record the balance before and after each step: source search, outline, first draft, two rewrites, citation repair and export. A failed generation or unusable citation still counts if the service charges for it. Publish the raw ledger, not only the cheapest successful run.
Citation accuracy: the review must test support, not formatting
A citation can look perfectly formatted and still be wrong. A proper blind audit should score at least 20 generated citations on four questions:
- Does the source exist?
- Do the author, title, year and identifier match the source?
- Does the cited passage support the sentence Oreate attached to it?
- Can a reader reach the source without repairing the reference?
The answer is currently untested. Kingy should not publish an accuracy percentage until a reviewer opens every source and logs the result. When the test is run, the article should include the complete prompt, the raw Oreate output and a row-by-row verification sheet.
Privacy and licensing: the biggest reason to pause
Oreate’s terms say users keep whatever rights they already have in their inputs and outputs. They also grant Oreate and its affiliates a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, transferable and sublicensable licence over that material for purposes that include service or model optimization, research and publicity or promotion.
That is broader than many users will infer from “you retain ownership.” Ownership and a platform licence can coexist. Before uploading interview transcripts, unpublished findings, client material or identifiable student data, users should decide whether that licence is acceptable and check any institutional policy that applies.
Oreate’s privacy policy should be read alongside the terms. A cautious default is simple: do not upload confidential, embargoed or personally sensitive material unless you have authority to do so and the service’s current controls meet your requirements.
Cancellation, renewal and refunds
The terms describe monthly and annual subscriptions as automatically renewing unless cancelled through the account or support. The statutory sales disclosure describes a three-day refund window subject to eligibility criteria. Kingy did not purchase, cancel or request a refund, so this is a policy-path summary—not proof that the process is fast or successful.
Before paying:
- capture the price, renewal date and included allowance;
- cancel at least one business day before the stated deadline if you do not intend to renew;
- save the confirmation screen and email;
- do not assume partial months or consumed usage will be refunded.
Export fidelity and failure cases
Oreate’s actual document export was not tested. A meaningful export test should compare the editor and downloaded file for headings, footnotes, inline citations, bibliography order, italics, links and non-ASCII characters. It should also test whether tracked revisions or comments survive.
The most important failure cases to record are fabricated sources, real sources attached to unsupported claims, duplicate bibliography entries, wrong page numbers, inaccessible links, lost formatting and charges for failed or repeated generations.

Oreate can make sense for a student or researcher who wants a structured place to explore a topic and is willing to treat every generated claim as provisional. It is a poor fit for anyone seeking a one-click route to a submission-ready paper.
