Which plan is worth considering
Canada/CAD: C$0 editor; AI extensions and providers separate. The editor is free for private and commercial use and provides extension, terminal, debugging and source-control workflows. Microsoft’s distributed editor license differs from the MIT Code-OSS repository. The recording is not a security review of extensions or an acceptance test of the generated applications.
Limits that affect the purchase
It is not an included AI subscription or web host. Extensions can execute code and have their own permissions, licenses and fees. The editor has no subscription fee; Visual Studio and GitHub Copilot are different offers. An extension API is available; editor access does not include model credits or deployment compute.
What the existing demonstration shows
The MiniMax recording uses VS Code with Kilo and a MiniMax provider to generate and inspect three prototypes. The corrected companion preserves exact historical workflow moments. It records prototype inspection, without retained repository diffs, acceptance tests, concurrency traces or invoices. It does not prove production reliability or the reported one-dollar-per-hour cost. The video was a paid MiniMax sponsorship; the companion supplies the detailed commercial record. No new task or benchmark was run. See the retained Kingy demonstration.
Sources and buying-review date
Buying details checked October 22, 2026. Plan research uses current official sources; demonstration descriptions use the retained Kingy record and any captured creator chapters. No new subscription, paid generation or checkout was performed. The buying-review date does not renew every claim in the broader facts ledger.
