Jules access, task limits and API status
Jules works on connected GitHub repositories. Its documented workflow clones code into a virtual machine, installs dependencies and proposes changes from your prompt. Kingy has not run a repository or tested output quality.
The no-cost plan is called Jules. The official limits page lists the following allowances; a daily allowance is measured over a rolling 24-hour window, not a calendar day.
| Plan | Tasks per rolling 24 hours | Concurrent tasks |
|---|---|---|
| Jules (no cost) | 15 | 3 |
| Jules in Pro | 100 | 15 |
| Jules in Ultra | 300 | 60 |
Paid access is a benefit of the corresponding Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription. The source limits that upgrade path to individual Google Accounts ending in @gmail.com. Jules requires users to be at least 18. Family-plan members have separate task allowances. Reaching the daily limit prevents starting new tasks until it resets; existing tasks and history remain accessible.
This record does not establish a paid price, currency, tax treatment, business-account entitlement or guaranteed capacity. Limits can change.
The Jules REST API is explicitly an experimental alpha. Its documentation uses v1alpha and an API key sent in the X-Goog-Api-Key header. Create the key in the Jules web app and connect repository sources through the Jules GitHub app first. Alpha API specifications and keys may change; this does not establish API pricing or production stability.

Build with Jules, your asynchronous coding agent
Google launched Jules in public beta as an asynchronous coding agent that reads code, plans tasks, makes changes, and integrates with GitHub workflows.
Important because Google entered the asynchronous coding-agent race with a GitHub-connected product.
