ChatGPT Sites is OpenAI’s hosted website and web-app workflow inside ChatGPT. It can turn a prompt or a compatible local project into a persistent hosted site that teams can review, refine, deploy, and share without setting up a separate hosting workflow.

What ChatGPT Sites does

OpenAI’s documentation says Sites can create websites, web apps, internal tools, dashboards, and games. Users can begin from a prompt in ChatGPT or from a compatible local project, save a reviewable version, and then deploy the approved version to a production URL.

Sites can support durable structured data through a relational database binding, file storage for uploaded assets, and workspace-authenticated identity for internal tools. Sharing can remain private, be limited to a workspace, or use a link when workspace policy allows it.

Availability and pricing

OpenAI announced ChatGPT Sites on June 2, 2026 in preview for eligible ChatGPT Business workspaces with Codex access. Current documentation describes Sites as a public beta whose availability can depend on plan, region, and workspace settings. It does not have a separate public price; access follows the applicable ChatGPT workspace plan and usage terms.

What teams should review

Every deployed Sites URL is a production deployment. Teams should review generated behavior, data handling, uploaded files, environment secrets, and sharing scope before deployment, and should use the narrowest access setting that fits the intended audience.
