Understanding AI Launch Categories
Category is the first lens for fair judgment. You cannot test an AI video model the same way you test a coding agent, and you cannot compare a local model to a cloud-only productivity app without adjusting expectations.

Use the smallest accurate category. A broad label like AI platform is usually less useful than AI coding assistant, AI search tool, or open-weight model.
