Official pricing and eligibility

Rates and eligibility can change. API usage, subscriptions and self-hosted infrastructure have separate costs where described. Launch history below retains earlier snapshots.

Who should consider it

Plan, price and billing scope

Free tier; paid quota follows eligible Google AI plan. An asynchronous GitHub coding agent that proposes a plan, edits a repository and prepares changes for review. Prices use the currency and billing term stated here. Where a numeric rate, region or current entitlement could not be verified, it remains explicit; no checkout was completed.

Repository access and cloud execution, checked October 22, 2026

Before connecting confidential work, review which repositories Jules can access and remove secrets from the repository. The Jules FAQ says tasks run in an internet-connected cloud virtual machine and that the agent operates on code and non-code files. Review dependencies and setup commands as well as the requested code change.

Google says Jules does not use private repository content to train models. Code is still cloned into the cloud environment for execution. That private-repository statement does not establish a retention period or a training rule for every prompt or feedback submission. Kingy has not independently audited those controls.

Repository access can be changed in GitHub Settings, under Applications, by configuring Google Labs Jules; refresh Jules afterward. This is a documentation check, with no connected repository, executed task or API call. The September 6 task-limit and experimental-API review below retains its historical scope and date.

Jules access, task limits and API status

Jules works on connected GitHub repositories. Its documented workflow clones code into a virtual machine, installs dependencies and proposes changes from your prompt. Kingy has not run a repository or tested output quality.

The no-cost plan is called Jules. The official limits page lists the following allowances; a daily allowance is measured over a rolling 24-hour window, not a calendar day.

Official Jules task allowances
Plan Tasks per rolling 24 hours Concurrent tasks
Jules (no cost) 15 3
Jules in Pro 100 15
Jules in Ultra 300 60

Paid access is a benefit of the corresponding Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription. The source limits that upgrade path to individual Google Accounts ending in @gmail.com. Jules requires users to be at least 18. Family-plan members have separate task allowances. Reaching the daily limit prevents starting new tasks until it resets; existing tasks and history remain accessible.

This record does not establish a paid price, currency, tax treatment, business-account entitlement or guaranteed capacity. Limits can change.

The Jules REST API is explicitly an experimental alpha. Its documentation uses v1alpha and an API key sent in the X-Goog-Api-Key header. Create the key in the Jules web app and connect repository sources through the Jules GitHub app first. Alpha API specifications and keys may change; this does not establish API pricing or production stability.
