AI Launch Profile
Kimi K3.1 Pro
Kimi announced hosted K3.1 Pro and Highspeed access across Kimi, Work, Code and the API on October 24, 2026. That announcement promised full weights by November 4. On November 5, Kingy verified a public, ungated Kimi-K3.1-Pro repository containing weight shards and a license. Repository creation and commit dates do not establish the first public weight-availability date. Enterprise access was off by default at launch and required administrator enablement.

Kingy AI Take
Kimi K3.1 Pro has hosted access and a public downloadable checkpoint. Review the custom license and infrastructure requirements before self-hosting, and evaluate quality and hosted costs on your own tasks.

What feels promising
Teams can evaluate hosted access and review downloadable weights separately, with different deployment costs and license obligations.
What feels unproven
The custom Kimi K3.1-Pro License requires a separate agreement before commercial use when the licensee or an affiliate operates a Model as a Service business and combined revenue of the licensee and its affiliates exceeds US$20 million over any consecutive 12 months. Separate UI attribution rules apply above 100 million monthly active users or US$20 million monthly product revenue. Sections 2 and 3 exempt internal use as defined in the license and access through official products or certified inference partners. Consult the full terms. Kingy has not downloaded the weights, run inference or independently validated vendor comparisons.
