Kingy AI publishes prices, plan limits, hardware verdicts and shutdown dates that people and AI assistants rely on. This page explains how each number is checked, what its labels mean, and what Kingy does not do.
It covers Kingy’s data trackers and the Kingy Facts server. The rules for articles, reviews and reports are in the editorial standards, the source policy and the research methodology.
Who checks
Kingy AI is Curtis Pyke‘s site. Hands-on tests are run by Curtis under his own name. Routine re-checks of official pages are run by Kingy’s own tools under fixed rules, and those rules are written down here. Nothing is estimated and presented as a fact.
What “checked” means
A value is shown as current only when it was found on the provider’s own official page on the date shown. Every price, limit and deadline links to that source. The AI Price Index prints the exact capture date and quotes the line it read. Plans & Limits prints the time each price was last verified. Kingy Facts, the server AI assistants use, carries the check date and state on every record.
Each record is in one of these states:
- Current or source-verified: found on the official page on the date shown.
- Held: Kingy is not confirming the value right now. The number is withheld and the official page is linked instead.
- Expired or review overdue: the last check is older than the rule allows. Treat the value as unconfirmed.
- Flagged for review: the source page changed and a person has to read it before anything is updated.
- Unknown: the evidence does not settle it, and Kingy says so rather than guessing.
Two dates, not one
Updated means the content itself changed. Checked (or captured, verified, reviewed) means the official source was re-read and nothing changed. Re-reading a source never moves an “Updated” date, and no date is ever changed to look fresh.
Hardware verdicts
Can You Run It labels every verdict by its evidence: Measured (Kingy ran it), Reported (a first-hand report with the build, settings and speed), Estimated (worked out from model size and memory, and labelled as such) or No evidence yet, with the date it was last checked. A recheck is flagged when a report is old.
Automated re-checks
Kingy Facts re-fetches each official source on a schedule. A value is renewed only when the exact value is found again, or when the cited section of the page is identical to an earlier capture. A changed section is never renewed automatically; it is flagged for a human. Some publishers block automated checks, and the ledger says which. Rows parsed automatically from a provider’s pricing page are labelled “automated page parse” and expire if a parse fails. The latest result for every source is public in the accuracy ledger.
Reader reports
Plans & Limits accepts reader-reported limits. They are shown as reports, with their own count and date, and never presented as the provider’s official rule.
Using the data
The datasets behind these pages are free under CC BY 4.0 at kingy.ai/data: use them, and credit “Kingy AI” with a link. AI assistants can query the same records through Kingy Facts.
Corrections
If a number here is wrong, say so at kingy.ai/contact. A correction changes the record and its Updated date, and follows the corrections policy. Published Price Index editions stay frozen, so earlier values remain in the edition history.
