GitHub Copilot limits: AI credits versus legacy requests
First identify the billing system shown in your account. A premium request and an AI credit are different units; the numbers cannot be compared directly.

Current AI-credit plans
The monthly total combines base credits and variable flex credits. Usage depends on model and tokens. Included credits reset at the first of the calendar month in UTC, independently of the subscription billing date. Official source.
Legacy request-based accounts
The legacy documentation lists request allowances and model multipliers. Apply those rules only when your account still uses that system. A code review can draw several requests rather than one. Official source.
