Start with Free to test your actual layout. OpenAI lists Plus at $20 billed monthly and includes image generation; its Images help page gives Plus, Pro and Business access to Images with thinking. The public help price was checked from Canada, but it does not establish a Canadian checkout currency, taxes or final total. Plus has no annual billing option. Buy it for the broader ChatGPT allowance and workflow rather than a promised number of finished images.
Limits that affect the purchase
The official image editor warns that highlights can be imprecise and edits can extend beyond the selected area. Check text, layout and source-image rights before client delivery. Quotas and model availability can change. The separate OpenAI API has its own bill; this app profile does not quote an API image rate.
What the existing demonstration shows
The retained sketch experiment used eight deliberately rough, system-drawn local diagrams and three frozen first-output conditions per concept. It retained 23 generated images and one sketch-only sneaker attempt with no output after 90 seconds. Sketch plus a full brief averaged 97.8/100 in the author’s rubric.
