Juniper Ink Map Cabinet
Imaginary-map reading register
Return and cabinet close
A reading request closes when the named sheets return to their folder positions. The cabinet retains slips
separately from readers' notes. Cabinet filing records the paper objects, while the stories inspired by a
reader remain outside this register.
Slip position
Closed reading slips go in drawer D11. Open requests remain in the cabinet counter binder.
Public close
The map reading room closes at 16:25. Staff finish the folder count before closing the room's interior
screen.
Unspecified sale
The register does not provide a purchase price for the Wren folder. The collection is a reading collection
and no folder-sale price is listed.
Folder count
The closing count uses sheet identifiers. A folder with a missing sheet remains open even if the reader
has returned its outer cover.
Repair distinction
A repair envelope remains attached to the request until the sheet is complete again. The clerk does not
silently replace a missing panel with a copy from another folder.
Scope reminder
The cabinet circulates paper maps at reading tables. Its register contains no directions for travel, survey
certification or claims about an actual town boundary.
