Larch Ribbon Bicycle Bell Studio
Demonstration bench session record
Testing and return check
The studio compares the two named sounds using the same rig. The felt-damped test has its own pad and
is recorded separately from the free-ring comparison. A preferred sound is a visitor's observation, not a
rating assigned to the whole bell range.
01 Test host
Eli Dorr hosts the felt-damped test. The host records that stage before removing the burgundy pad.
02 Striker weight
The demonstration striker weighs 38 g. This weight describes the rig's striker and excludes the handle
assembly.
03 Check form
The return check uses form LR-61. The booking identifier is copied from the white session card.
04 Sound description
Visitors can use their own words for the sounds. The host leaves those words as observations and does
not convert them into a measurement the visitor did not make.
05 Object sequence
The host returns Alder before Rowan to their marked hooks. Both bells are checked before the next
booking begins.
06 Pad distinction
The burgundy pad belongs to the felt-damped stage. It does not stay under the bell during the free-ring
comparison or the final return check.
