Larch Ribbon Bicycle Bell Studio
Demonstration bench session record
Bench booking
The Larch Ribbon Bicycle Bell Studio is an invented workshop for comparing bell sounds on a stationary
demonstration rig. Visitors book a short bench session. The record concerns that rig and does not describe
the fitting or road use of a bicycle bell.
01 Booking duration
A bench booking lasts 24 minutes. The duration includes the visitor's first sound comparison and the
end-of-session return check.
02 Rig position
The demonstration rig stands on platform J1. Visitors remain beside the painted bench line while the
host changes a bell.
03 Comparison pair
The opening comparison uses the Alder and Rowan bells. The names distinguish the studio's
demonstration objects rather than tree materials used in manufacture.
04 Muted stage
During the felt-damped test, the host places a burgundy pad under the bell. The pad is removed before
the free-ring comparison begins.
05 Session card
The host writes the booking identifier on a white session card. A visitor can describe a preferred sound
on that card without renaming the demonstration objects.
06 Rig boundary
Only the host changes the bell on the rig. The visitor operates the indicated striker after the host has
checked the bell's position.
