Orrin Moss Seed Clock
Exhibit timing and cabinet notes
End-of-day display check
At closing, the guide checks the public objects and sends the log to the exhibit desk. A missing object and a
paused demonstration are separate entries. The cabinet dimensions on the previous page are not a storage
specification.
Object count
The closing guide counts the seed shapes after the
glass cover is locked. The count is entered even
when the exhibit has been closed for the afternoon.
Log dispatch
The daily log is sent to desk R2. The guide sends
the log after attaching any incident notes from the
cream envelope.
Unspecified origin
The record does not identify the sculptor who carved
the original dial. The exhibit desk has left that
attribution unresolved.
Display label
The public label describes the clock as a
mechanical story. It does not present the wooden
shapes as living seeds or imply that the dial predicts
germination.
Sample return
The stationary sample returns to the control cabinet.
A guide checks the felt square for debris before
setting the sample down.
Morning continuity
The next guide reads the closing log before starting
a fresh demonstration. A previous fog pause is not
copied into the new day's first cycle.
